Patron an aircraft

Patronage connects your name to an aircraft that you like. Your name appears on the aircraft in gold, the aircraft appears in your hangar, and each pilot who flies it sees your name. The aircraft stays in the shared fleet, and each pilot can fly it.

How to claim an aircraft

• Patronage is a Supporter perk. Your subscription includes one patron slot.
• Open the page of an aircraft that has no owner and no patron. Then select Patron this aircraft. The claim is immediate.
• Do you want more than one aircraft? Each additional slot costs $3 for each month, or $33 for each year on an annual membership.

What patronage shows

• Your name in gold, on the page of the aircraft and on its card in the registry.
• The aircraft in the collection of your hangar, with the time that you held it.

The rules

• An aircraft can have one patron. An aircraft with an owner cannot have a patron.
• You can change a held aircraft for a different one one time in each month. A claim into an empty slot does not count as a change.
• If your subscription ends, Tailstrike releases your patronage 30 days later. Therefore a late payment does not remove your aircraft immediately.
