Intelligent Dispatch

Intelligent Dispatch is the AI dispatcher of Tailstrike. Tell it the time that you have. Then it gives you a real flight: a destination that your aircraft can use, a briefing, cargo, a callsign, and sometimes one or two bonus objectives.

How to request an assignment

• When you lease, select AI assignment as the flight type. You can also request one later, from the lease page or from the plugin.
• Select a flight length: Quick (less than 2 hours), Medium, Extended, Long-haul or Ultra. Tailstrike offers only the lengths that your aircraft can fly.
• The assignment appears in seconds, with its briefing and its destination. Fly it as a normal leg.

What Dispatch examines

• The range, the speed and the size of your aircraft.
• Live ATC: if you fly on VATSIM, Dispatch prefers a destination with controllers on duty. On a long flight, it can plan your arrival for an event.
• Real routes: a city pair that airlines really fly gets a preference. The assignment shows a Real route mark.
• The live world: the places where the other pilots fly and land now, the season, and the character of the destination.
• The pilots who you follow: Dispatch can send you to an airport where one of them arrived a short time before. See Following & salutes.
• The current weather at your departure and your destination.

A new assignment, or your own destination

• If you do not want the assignment, you can get one new assignment for each lease.
• Do you prefer your own plan? Select my own destination. Each pilot can use it, you can change it at each moment, and it also counts as a planned flight.
• You can dismiss an assignment at each moment, and fly free. After the flight, you can rate the assignment with a thumb up or a thumb down. This makes Dispatch better.

Who gets it

• A Supporter can request an assignment on each lease.
• A free pilot gets 15 free Dispatch credits to try it. One credit covers one lease: the assignment and its reroll count as one. When the credits are used, they do not return.
